Accessibility Statement

CityWeaver is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone.

Our Commitment

Khaira Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is committed to ensuring CityWeaver is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across all our web and mobile interfaces.

Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA Compliance

Accessibility Features

Keyboard Navigation

Supported

All interactive elements — buttons, links, forms, modals — are fully accessible via keyboard. Use Tab to navigate, Enter/Space to activate, and Escape to close dialogs. Focus indicators are clearly visible.

Screen Reader Support

Supported

CityWeaver is built with semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android). Meaningful alt text is provided for all images.

Colour Contrast

WCAG AA

Our design system uses colour combinations that meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components). Information is never conveyed by colour alone.

Text Resize

Supported

Text can be resized up to 200% using browser zoom without loss of content or functionality. We use relative font units (rem/em) throughout to respect user-set browser font preferences.

Focus Indicators

Supported

All interactive elements display a clear, visible focus ring when navigated to via keyboard or assistive technology. We do not suppress the default focus outline without providing an enhanced alternative.

Responsive Design

Supported

CityWeaver is fully responsive and works across all device sizes. Content reflows correctly at 320px width. No horizontal scrolling is required on mobile. Touch targets meet the minimum 44×44 pixel guideline.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, the following areas have known limitations. We are actively working to address these:

Interactive Maps

Leaflet maps used for location selection in issue reports are not fully keyboard accessible. A text-based location search alternative is always available as a fallback.

Rich Text Editor

The rich text formatting tools in certain forms have limited screen reader support. Plain text input fields are available as an alternative.

Complex Data Visualisations

Analytics charts (used in Business Dashboard) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. Data is also available in tabular format where charts are used.

Third-Party Content

Advertisements and embedded third-party widgets may not always meet our accessibility standards. We encourage advertisers to submit accessible ad materials.
